Because in the jersey of NFL favorites Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the All Time Passing Yards record will most certainly fall. The “GOAT” is only 68 yards short of pulling past Drew Brees, who has since retired.

The bookmaker's forecast for the Brady record is also very clear. The over / under odds for passing yards in the game are already about completely different numbers ...

Brady returns to New England NFL story of the week

In Week 4 of the still young NFL season there is a real highlight: Tom Brady returns to New England for the first time wearing the Buccaneers' jersey. On Monday morning, Kenya time (2:20 am), he will face the Patriots with Tampa Bay.

At the same time, it is the first time that Tom Brady meets his great mentor Bill Belichick, with whom he brought the Super Bowl to New England six times.

At WEEI-FM, the ex-coach spoke about the Bucs triumph last season: “Tom is a great player. I'm not surprised that he was immediately successful. ”Still, Belichick's focus is on the athletic. Brady's move was "discussed often enough".

This focus is no accident. After the missed playoffs in the previous year, the Patriots started the season with their Brady successor Mac Jones again in 2021 with a 1-2 balance. If you lost to the Bucs, you would have your back to the wall in the AFC East with the strong bills.

Brady and Tampa Bay are in third place in the NFC South before the New England return - behind the Carolina Panthers (3-0) and the tied New Orleans Saints (2-1).

How quickly does Brady get the All Time Passing Yards record?

As if the much-discussed return to Foxboro weren't enough, there will likely be a great Brady record as well. The current All Time Passing Yards mark in the Sunday Night Game is likely to fall in the first half.

This was captured by Drew Brees in October 2018 when he left Peyton Manning behind. With a total of 80,358 passing yards, the Saints legend finally ended his career after the last season.

Only a few months later he will hand over his passing record to Brady. But Brees is not offended by the seven-time Super Bowl champion.

In an interview with ESPN, Brees even called for the quick attitude: “I'm in favor of Brady making it with the first play in the game. Go ahead and get it out of the way. 68 yards? Let New England kick the ball into the end zone, start at the 25 yard line and throw it to Mike Evans. ”

With 67 yards, Brady would break the record, with one more. Brady is in great shape, as is so often the case. Despite his 44 years of age, he has already reached 379 yards (Cowboys, Week 1), 276 yards (Falcons, Week 2) and 432 yards (Rams, Week 3) in previous season games.

In addition, Brady has already had 10 touchdowns after three games in the current season - top of the league ahead of Matt Stafford and Patrick Mahomes (9 each).
